Lloyd: again an insightful analysis and needed call to what has been our stellar call to all Christians to live in the unity God has been trying to call us to and to give us through his grace. Lately, it seems to me that instead of uniting we have been trying to distance ourselves from other Christians. Jesus said all will know we are Jesus' disciples because we have such love for one another, not because we agree with each other.

Unity is challenging. It requires a good deal of humility (not self-effacement but true humility modeled on Jesus himself who being found in human flesh thought equality with God should not be grasped, but humbled himself and became a servant).

The advice given in 1st Corinthians 13 can guide us. Love is much more important then being right. In reality every one of us is right about something's and wrong about others and many times we don't know which is which. Fortunately we serve a God if Grace. Let's excell at giving grace to each other. After all jesus did not say everyone will know you are my deciples because you all agree with each other.
